A simple painting, almost a "throwaway". (not that you throw it away, but you can do it quickly, without much effort) Even so, at the last minute after having it "finished" for months, I decided to throw one more darker wash on it---and it helped tremendously. I think one of the most important things an artist can do is finish their work early enough to allow them time to sit with it--and make changes where necessary after they've lived with it awhile.
